There are three truths to retirement.

The first is that none of us ever acknowledge fully that one day we will get old. As we push on in years we say age become relative. You’re only as old as you feel and 60 is not as old when your 45 as it was when you were 20!

The other truth is that these are the years, as adults, we look forward to the most. We spent all our time working, saving and running after our children. These are the years where we get out second wind and start doing the things we have been planning for years. These are OUR golden years.

The third is that, like every other year, we need money to do the things we want. We need to have a secure future when we are retired and we need to make sure our families are looked after so we can spend our money the way we want. And if we get sick, we have a plan in place to look after it all.
